DESCRIPTION:HealthTrust Europe is delighted to support the PathLAKE Plus AI Showcase \nWhen and Where: An all-day Institute of Precision Diagnostics event to be held on Wednesday the 20th of September 2023 in the Clinical Sciences Building at UHCW \nPurpose/What to expect: This showcase looks to not only mark the achievements of PathLAKE Plus but to spearhead the launch of our national initiative to bring AI into cellular pathology workstreams. The day will feature AI workshops\, that offer a hands-on interactive experience with AI solutions\, and a series of presentations around their deployment within laboratory workflows across the country. AI solutions for the following use cases will feature in the afternoon workshops: prostate\, breast\, PDL-1 lung and LN metastasis. \nTarget Audience: NHS pathologists and cellular pathology leads\, particularly those that might be looking to adopt AI in the next few years and would like to gain insights into how best to approach their deployments. \nKeynote speaker: Dr Colin Wilson – Deputy Director\, Research Infrastructure\, Office for Life Sciences. Colin leads OLS’s work to ensure the UK’s research infrastructure can best support life sciences\, including genomics\, data for R&D and clinical research. He also leads the Life Sciences Vision cancer mission\, supporting the development of new diagnostics and immune-based therapies. Following a PhD in physics\, he initially joined the Home Office where he helped develop technology for UK security and policing and later worked on operational security\, counter-terrorism and organised crime.
