Contract Overview
HealthTrust Europe`s framework agreement for supply of Parenteral Nutrition offers a compliant route to market for the supply of a range of aseptically prepared standard, bespoke and supplemented parenteral nutrition products. The framework agreement also covers the supply of components and additions used for compounding of bespoke and supplemented parenteral nutrition bags. The agreement covers the requirements for intravenous Parenteral Nutrition solutions for neonatal, paediatric, and adult patients.
Quality
• Awarded suppliers have been assessed based on CE certification/UKCA mark and MHRA certificates.
• All Quality Assurance Policies are established in accordance with ISO 9001 and Medical Device Standard ISO 13485.
• All awarded suppliers are compliant with the testing of prepared products in accordance with the “Guide to Quality Control
Chemical Testing of Aseptically Prepared Products, 1st Edition, June 2021”.
• All awarded suppliers hold MHRA Manufacturer Specials License and comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and
Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
Safety
• All suppliers` medicines are prepared strictly according to MHRA guidelines, under the terms of the MA (specials)
licence and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• All the materials used in manufacture of the offered lines are certified free of Transmissible Spongiform
Encephalopathies (TSEs).
Service
• Implementation support including introduction to all range of products.
• Training support for mixing and/or handling of products.
• Support with future demand forecasting.
• Study days and educational webinars tailored to individual customer requirements.
• Educational support with PN stability and clinical developments for Parenteral Nutrition products.
This framework agreement has the following lot structure:
• Lot 1 Standard Licensed Multi-Chamber Bags.
• Lot 2 Ready to Use Standard Supplemented Bags.
• Lot 3 Neonatal and Paediatric Standard Bags.
• Lot 4 Unlicensed Compounded
Bags/Syringes(bespoke) and provision of additions to
Licensed Bags.
• Lot 5 Components (ingredients) used for
compounding and additions (e.g., infusion fluids,
vitamins).
The HTE Parenteral Nutrition Framework is a direct award framework which can be called off and weighted against certain aspects if the Participating Authority deems that this is more suitable to their requirements. The framework was awarded to the top three ranked suppliers for Lot 1 (Adult Multichamber) and Lot 3 (Bags with Additions), and the top two ranked suppliers for Lots 2 (Neonatal/Paediatric) and 4 (Bags with Additions).
