St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Selects HealthTrust Europe as its GPO

Birmingham, England – HealthTrust Europe (HTE) is delighted to announce that it was selected by St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to be its exclusive national Group Purchasing Organisation (GPO).

St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust provides a full range of acute healthcare services at Whiston, St Helens and Newton Hospitals and some community services. With over 4,500 staff, the Trust now has access to a range of clinically-led purchasing options that deliver high quality and clinically acceptable products including the HTE GPO model.

Angela Gaskell, Head of Purchasing and Supply at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, said that the GPO model provides the hospital with access to innovative and new clinical contracts that can help it realise its vision in providing ‘five start patient care.’
